Intersting twist on Israel's Policy of family-home demolition. I suspect the "no impact" is for internal consumption to reduce Israeli resistance. There had been a number of well-publicized cases of family members disclosing planned attacks to Israeli authorities so they could be stopped, and many were attributed to this policy.
