Random Walkings
What,
CYC (ex-MCC) is still alive?
"Zionist Conspiracy". Let me see; if we shut down Thursdays, we'll miss another day of international corporate cooperation opportunities the damn Zionists take advantage of. Hmmm

Intersting twist on Israel's Policy of family-home demolition. I suspect the "no impact" is for internal consumption to reduce Israeli resistance. There had been a number of well-publicized cases of family members disclosing planned attacks to Israeli authorities so they could be stopped, and many were attributed to this policy.

Robo Soldiers. And I thought Reagn's $4B/year StarWars project was a boondoggle.
Yeah, those
Jewish rappers sure do kick ass!
Matissiahu is a Riot. His Raggea is curiously good.
A very strange, pro-Bush
commentary on Sharon's transformation; vehemently opposed to my opinion, but it's good to be exposed to a range of views.
I'm about to go on a 5-day ski trip. Rather than spend $200+ on rentals, I've decided to take the plunge and buy some gear myself. I got myself a pair of snowboarding boots at REI for $140. Hopefully, I can
buy a used snowboard on craigslist. Unfortunately, because of my big feet, my options are limitted.
Ah, the playboy lifestyle.
Internet searchers (present company excepted) are confident, satisfied and trusting – but they are also unaware and naïve
Trusting the Pew Trust?
No,

Cousin Fred preliminary diagnosis -may be
DIP. But this may not be correct, since Fred never smoked. We are waiting for a better diagnosis based on examination of the biopsy. The following

Saw
Last Night last night. DVD rental. Recommended.
BBC; Abbas; Sharon.
He who lives by BBC news "truth" has his head up the same famous ass. The only way to assure getting it is looking at diverse news sources, not only a cluster of specific coloration.
I am no Sharon lover, but the guy has seen the light, and is fighting furiously against right-wing idiots to reach an equitable agreement with the Palestinians for a two-state solution. Do you read about sprayed grafitti all over Israel saying: "We killed Rabin, we can kill Sharon"? Have you read about the internal struggle going on? This may still end up as two civil wars, one among Israelis, one among Palestinians.
How would Phookie-Sharon handle a barrage of over 50 mortar rounds raining on a settlement in Gaza in one night during a "ceasefire"? How would Phookie explain this to those Israelis who claim the Palestinians are lying, and the withdrawal from Gaza should be cancelled? Abbas did not call Sharon's bluff. He was trying to save face after having committed his forces with a writen agreement to stop mortars attacks en-route to unilateral Isareli withdrawal (Sharon's unpopular idea).
I went onto the BBC Website, and found
the following, which may change your mind, maybe.
As to Sharon, he still followed through with his promises, even opening border crossings (after 2 years) for Palestinian workers the morning after the attack. His only real response was to delay a preestablished negotiation by 24 hours. I call it mild.
BTW, NPR called it "a mortar attack" in a 10-word piece of news that made it sound like an exceptional, one-round mistake; not a word about a coordinated, 50-rounds attack with no Israeli military response.
What is
Bhangra music? I must explore.
My favorite HK director
Wong Kar Wai (
Fallen Angels,
Chungking Express,
In The Mood For Love) has a new movie this year. It's a period piece romance -- except the period is
2046. I'm stoked. Plus, drunken master
Christopher Doyle did at least some of the cinematography.
Yeah, if I could live my life over again, I think I'd want to be Christopher Doyle.
Google Maps - jeep dealership near san francisco, ca -- ask for Tony at Connell Jeep Chrysler, test-drive a jeep, and get 2 lift tickets to heavenly (value: $110). Ok, I think I can do that...
What do you think about GuruNet's

Guess
who is developing the Cell Processor?
Google Maps is great. All the WiFi spots are commercial establishments;. They don't need the legal hassles of privately run (unauthorized by ISPs) hotspots; also, there is the issue of database accuracy and updating roles. So I don't think you can add your own.
Too cool! I'm having one of those gee-whiz moments comparable to when I fired up Mosaic for the first time.
Iraqi official Mithal Al-Alusi visited Israel, and called for establishing diplomatic relations between Iraq & Israel.
The US' great ally Ahmed Chalabi reacted by throwing him out of the Iraqi National Congress Party.
Today, an assassination attempt on Al-Alusi’s life resulted in the killing of his sons. He is quoted as saying afterwards:
"I will repeat it, even if these terrorists try to kill me again, peace is the only solution. Peace with Israel is the only solution for Iraq. Peace with everybody, but no peace for the terrorists," said a shell-shocked Al-Alusi.
Talking about Cha-related brilliant films; rent Salaam Bombay.
What to do with the processor from that top-of-the-line server you bought in 1992? Use it to

Meaty stuff on the Cell architecture.
Cell looks pretty bad-ass.

How about Solvent Soylent Security. Which solvent did they use in the movie?

I love to steal overpriced design ideas and build them myself. I've already constructed a "designer" bookcase and a couple of zen gardens. Next up, I need a new bed frame -- persome something that looks like
